CES 2009: LG AMOLED
LG AMOLED
LG introduced the LG AMOLED screen at CES 2009. The LG AMOLED screen is only 0,85 millimeter thick, which truly is amazing. No other screen is as thin and offers such high contrast, bright, dynamic and vivid color display as the LG AMOLED screen.
LG AMOLED: A glance at the future
LCD, Plasma and OLED screens all work in very similar but also different ways. All rely on so called ‘cells’ which are the building components of the screen. LCD screens are made out of liquid crystal cells, Plasma screens are made out of gas cells and OLED screens are made out of organic light emitting compound cells. The OLED technology of OLED screens is also implanted in the LG AMOLED screen and is what the LG AMOLED screen basically separates from LCD and/or Plasma displays. Release date for the LG AMOLED screen is yet unknown, but it is sure to take over the LCD and Plasma screen's reputation of being the very best in the field of ultimate image quality display.
